Lord, I don't know what I am not doing right but I am in need of help. I look around and see the successes of others but cannot find mine. I need financial blessings and a sign that I am heading in the right direction. I am on the verge of a breakdown here and all I see is no action- no movement- no momentum forward- I feel stagnant. Help me, please help me to be a financial success and provide for my child.

Black Friday

Well we have managed as a society to sink to a new low.  Honestly! Pepper spraying one another, shooting, shoving, stealing - for what? One more video game, one more pair of designer jeans? Bigger needs are abound. Can we make Christmas about what it is intended? If you don't believe in the intention of the Christmas Holiday then why do you choose to participate? You don't have to put up a tree and you can buy your "presents" any time of the year. If you are not Christian then don't practice Christian Holidays. Sell the plastic Christmas Tree in the next yard sale along with the lights (and all the crap you bought this year and won't use more than a few weeks before you feel it is obsolete) and all those homemade ornaments that the kids bring home from school and just buy stuff and hand it out. 
Just in case you are wondering - I haven't bought a new television since I was 17 that lasted more than 4 years - I finally gave up, but the tv I bought when I was 17 still works perfectly and is the center of seldom used television room. 

Counting the Blessings

I am in awe at times when I see the waste around me. Seriously, do we need one more "thing" in our homes, the need for extra storage and extra closet space and extra cars and just every "thing". Why? Are we so lost in our world of the latest and greatest that we have lost sight of the fact that big box companies thrive off of our debt and misery? Next time you buy a non-consumable ask yourself one question - "Do I really need this to live?" and then ask yourself where does your happiness come from. It is in the purchase of the new toy or electronic or is it in the life and love of your purpose? Put down the charge card and step away from the counter.

Almost over

On the edge of a breakdown here. It is almost over , I just have to hold it together for another day or two and I can break down and cry, starve myself, workout to excess, what ever! Lord help me.
